I’m not sure when I became so anxious but it definitely is unnecessary. Today went off without a hitch. I was up around 6:15 this morning. I was out of the house by 7:30. So far, the only thing I think I forgot was my hair bun donut. But I found an old rolled up sock donut bun in my car, so no harm no foul. I didn’t get sleepy at all driving up to Jacksonville, as was my worry. I made it to the zoo by 11:30 am. It was, indeed, ridiculously hot. There were a few animals that were probably inside their comfortable climate controlled habitats, so I didn’t get to see them. I did spend a solid three hours walking around taking pictures. That being said, I need to learn my camera and how it works. Too many of my photos let in too much light. I believe that’s the aperture. I took photography classes over ten years ago before everything was all digital. I was quite content though that I didn’t have any weird inner feelings about being by myself, or that I felt people were looking at me oddly for being alone.  I just did my thing. I was back on the road by 3 pm. I made it to Fayetteville NC around 8:30 p.m. I’m exhausted, but I feel good. I don’t have any weird, anxious, “I can’t do it” feelings about this trip. Quite the opposite. And I did stress out about it before hand. And besides, I have two hotel beds all to myself. You bet your ass I’m gonna jump on them.
